Oceania, made up of Australia, New Zealand and the numerous Pacific islands, is a continent with varied landscapes, ranging from heavenly beaches to tropical forests. Indigenous culture is still very present there, particularly among the Maoris in New Zealand and the Aborigines in Australia. Even if Australia gives pride of place to meat, Oceanian cuisine highlights fresh products, such as fish, tropical fruits, taro, and sweet potato, often prepared simply to enhance their natural flavors. Respect for nature and local resources is reflected in their culinary traditions. Additionally, Polynesian dishes like raw fish marinated in coconut milk (Tahitian raw fish) are a great healthy, gluten-free option.
