Mafe

Mafè (or mafé , or lamb), fish, or vegetables, cooked in a thick peanut-based sauce. This sauce is often enriched with tomatoes, onions, spices such as chili peppers, and sometimes vegetables like carrots, sweet potatoes, or cassava.

Mafé is usually served with white rice or couscous. It is naturally gluten-free, provided that the ingredients used (especially the peanut paste and spices) are free of any added gluten.
