I'm Laurence, the founder of this blog. I returned to France during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. My roots are in France, but I feel at home everywhere. My parents lived in Morocco, Tunisia, Vietnam, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, and Congo. I grew up on Réunion Island, studied in Spain and Costa Rica, and lived as an expat in Asia and the United States… all this to say that I've always had one foot between two continents, especially when it comes to food and culture. I was raised on nuoc mam sauce, curry, coconut candy, and tagine at my grandmother's house. Then I discovered beef bourguignon, duck confit, macarons, and finally, pad Thai, satay skewers, fried rice… and for the past few years, gluten-free! My blog aims to take you on a journey through the cultures and cuisines of the world while remaining true to a gluten-free diet. Each country, with its unique history and rich culture, offers flavors that I am delighted to share with you. Get ready to discover the culinary wonders of our planet, while remaining mindful of your well-being!
Enjoy your meal and bon voyage around the world

Why gluten-free?
I'm not celiac, but I am gluten intolerant. I stopped eating gluten in 2020 somewhat by chance. I was regularly experiencing severe joint pain, to the point where I couldn't even hold a knife or my tennis racket. I had every possible test done in the US, but they found nothing. When I returned to France, I decided to do a one-week gluten-free diet to eliminate the excesses of the summer: no more sugar, cakes, or starchy foods. The week passed, and I realized my pain had disappeared. I did some research and haven't gone back to gluten. My pain hasn't returned.

Travel leads us to discover other cultures and traditions, stimulates our curiosity, and gives us a sense of freedom. In the meantime, dare to be adventurous in your daily life and try cuisine from other countries. On the travel , you'll find a tourist and culinary overview of each country, organized by continent. You'll also find a list of basic ingredients needed to cook like they do in that country. Finally, for each country I visit, I'll share my travelogue with you.
