Nigerian Suya is one of West Africa's most famous street foods. These grilled beef skewers, fragrant with spices, are a symbol of conviviality and sharing. They can be found in markets, at parties, and at family gatherings in Nigeria and neighboring countries. The spice blend, called yaji , combines chili, peanuts, ginger, and garlic. These skewers are naturally gluten-free. The meat is tender inside and slightly crispy outside thanks to grilling or barbecuing. Served with raw onions and tomatoes, Suya becomes a complete and flavorful meal. It is often accompanied by fried plantains, but it can also be enjoyed on its own. So, are you craving spicy and flavorful African skewers?
