Nigerian suya is one of West Africa's most famous street foods. These grilled beef skewers, flavored with spices, are a symbol of conviviality and sharing. They are found in markets, festivals, and family gatherings in Nigeria and neighboring countries. The spice blend, called yaji , combines chili peppers, peanuts, ginger, and garlic. These skewers are naturally gluten-free. The meat is tender on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside thanks to grilling or barbecue. Served with raw onions and tomatoes, suya becomes a complete and flavorful meal. It is often accompanied by fried plantains, but it can also be enjoyed on its own. So, are you in the mood for spicy and characterful African skewers?
