Traditional cooking method:

In a large pot, sauté the onion and garlic in oil until golden brown.

Add the chicken pieces, then brown them on all sides.

Stir in the chopped tomatoes, cumin, cinnamon, cloves, coriander and cardamom. Simmer for 5 minutes.

Add the rice and pour in the hot broth: cover and cook for about 20 minutes over low heat or until the liquid is absorbed.

Remove from heat, let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Serve hot, accompanied by a green salad or grilled vegetables.

SAUTÉ mode: put the oil in the pot, add the onions and garlic. Sauté for 2–3 minutes.
