Making homemade pizza is simple and so much better than a supermarket pizza. But when you're eating gluten-free, are there any good options? With this gluten-free dough made with oat flakes, you get a crispy and healthy base, perfect for your favorite toppings. Oat flakes replace traditional flour and offer an easy-to-digest alternative. This recipe is suitable for people with gluten intolerance or those looking to vary their diet. It only requires a few ingredients and is quick to prepare. A food processor to blend the oat flakes will be necessary. You can pre-cook the dough for best results. It holds up well when baked and can be used with all kinds of toppings. Here's how to make it at home.

Gluten-free pizza dough with oat flakes

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Mix the ground flax seeds with the water. Let stand for 10 minutes (it will thicken).
  2. Blend the oat flakes until they form a flour.
  3. Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water.

  4. Mix the oat flakes, water and yeast, oil and flaxseed mixture and form a soft ball.

  5. Let stand for 10 minutes.
  6. Roll out the dough on a sheet of baking paper.
  7. Pre-cook it for 10 minutes at 200°C.
  8. Add your toppings, then bake for 10 to 15 minutes. I added tomato sauce, goat cheese, cancoillotte, fish, a few cherry tomatoes, a little mozzarella and grated Gruyère cheese. After baking, I added Parma ham and arugula, but anything goes. A delight, but this dough is so filling, I couldn't finish it... Enjoy!
