This sweet mixture of , and spices evokes both past suffering and future hope. Present on every Seder plate, charoset is also a truly delicious, natural, and gluten-free treat . Soft, fruity, and fragrant with cinnamon, it's quick to prepare with simple ingredients, often already in your kitchen. Some families add dates, figs, or almonds, but the Ashkenazi version with fresh apples is one of the most common.
