Oat flakes : cereals made from cleaned oat grains that are steamed and then flattened into thin flakes. Rich in soluble fiber (especially beta-glucans), they are known for their satiating effect and their ability to regulate blood sugar and cholesterol.
Regarding gluten , oats naturally contain very little and in a different form than wheat, rye, or barley. However, oat flakes are often contaminated with gluten during harvesting, transport, or processing. For people with celiac disease , only oats certified "gluten-free" (grown and processed under controlled conditions) can be consumed safely.
