  6. Stir in the tomatoes and simmer for about 5 minutes until they begin to soften.
  7. Cook the spinach
  8. Add the spinach to the pan, mix well with the other ingredients and cook over medium heat for about 10 to 15 minutes, stirring regularly.
  9. Season and serve:
  10. Season with salt and pepper to taste. You can add pieces of dried meat or dried fish for more flavor. Serve hot with mahangu (millet) or pap (corn porridge).
