The Charter is one of the most symbolic dishes of the Passa'h Seder's meal , representing the mortar used by the Hebrews in Egypt. This sweet mixture based on apples, nuts, red wine and spices evokes both past suffering and future hope. Present on each set of the Seder, the Charter is also a real natural and gluten -free delicacy . Soft, fruity and fragrant with cinnamon, it is quickly preparing with simple ingredients, often already in your kitchen. Some families add dates, figs or almonds, but the Ashkénaze version with fresh apples is one of the most widespread. Delicious on a matza cake, it can also be enjoyed with a spoon, breakfast or snack.
A must -see of Pessa'h, as tasty as meaningful.
